President Nawrocki Pledges Tech Innovations to Safeguard Polish Agricultural Lands

During the Jasna Góra Harvest Festival and Farmers’ Pilgrimage in Częstochowa, Polish President Karol Nawrocki lauded the nation’s farmers for their crucial role in safeguarding Poland’s food security, cultural legacy, and rural communities. In his address, Nawrocki highlighted the indispensable contribution of Poland’s countryside in maintaining national sovereignty by ensuring a reliable food supply. He emphasized the necessity for state support to assist farmers in facing challenges like droughts and frosts, underscoring that farmers should not be left to tackle these adversities alone.

Nawrocki expressed deep appreciation for Polish farmers as custodians of the nation’s land and cultural heritage. He underscored the importance of rural communities, farmers’ organizations, volunteer fire brigades, and local authorities in preserving Poland’s traditions, religious practices, family values, and folk culture. The president strongly opposed any initiatives that might endanger Polish agricultural land, reaffirming his commitment to keeping it under Polish ownership. He highlighted a legislative initiative aimed at extending the restrictions on the sale of Polish agricultural land, as well as measures to protect the productive capacity of rural areas.

Expressing his disapproval of the European Union’s Mercosur agreement, Nawrocki argued that it could adversely affect Polish farmers and agricultural production. He also voiced criticism of the EU Green Deal, advocating for a greater focus on the concerns of Poland’s rural population. The president shared his efforts to amplify farmers’ voices through proposed referendums on climate policy and the Green Deal, lamenting that these proposals were rejected by senators. He urged lawmakers to pay closer attention to the needs and viewpoints of farmers and rural communities.

In his concluding remarks, Nawrocki pledged ongoing support for the Polish countryside, expressing his belief that rural communities are deeply aligned with Poland’s national interests. He affirmed that these communities will continue to uphold the country’s traditions and agricultural future. Throughout his speech, the president reiterated his commitment to defending Poland’s land and ensuring the continued prosperity of its agricultural sector.
